- VST; Arturia VST; The Prophet 5 and Prophet VS set standards and redefined synthesizers in the 1980s. Arturia has brought these classics back to life for you. The Prophet 5 was the first totally programmable synthesizer on the market. This revolutionary synth became the basis for all other polysynths to this day.
- While nothing really replaces or sounds like a PPG or Prophet-VS, I think the modern version of these synths are the 002 and the Prophet-12, besides the full DSP synths like Solaris and Blofeld. I personally think that Modal missed the boat by NOT implementing the wavetable scanning.

It's a good value, though - especially since they lowered the price. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it if I needed Prophet sounds and didn't have access to a real one (or if I were interested in the hybrid possibilities with a Prophet VS emulation included).
